From a block of raw material, the artist already envisions their masterpiece — and Godimenta is sculpted like a sculpture. Ginger and bergamot, carved with sharp lines, emanate a disruptive energy. Around them, lemon and mint are shaped into sinuous curves, smooth surfaces that reflect the touch of crisp air. Raspberry and jasmine are inserted like small bas-reliefs, delicate blossoms embedded in the resinous veins of silver fir. Metallic rose takes shape in a solid and gleaming body, almost sharp, while amber slides into a round and soft base, dissolving any harshness. Finally, fragrant woods – sandalwood, cedar, guaiac – along with musk give the sculpture a latent warmth and a sensual patina that invites touch and voluptuousness.
